A standard repair includes disassembly, cleaning, re-machine parts if economical, replacement of secondary seals, bearings, springs, setscrews, and alike, by new parts. The surface coating may also be included in the repair. Final inspection, and pressure tests where applicable, are performed before shipping.

In Addition to the standard repair, we evaluate seals in depth and analyze with careful inspection. The end result conducts an inspection report which includes corrective measures to be taken in terms of material upgrades, analyzing the equipment with the seal chamber or adjust the operating conditions.

Seal Service contracts can be made for a single piece of equipment, a selected group of equipment’s, for a unit of the plant, or even for the whole client’s plant. There is a wide variety of possible contracts. MEWS accepts all custom requests and finalizes them as needed. This ensures a smooth operation between shutdowns reduction of “bad actors,” which results in overall cost reduction and a convenient, customizable platform.

Upon agreement, MEWS will regularly gather Seal relevant data like leakage rate, pressures, temperatures, vibrations at the site. The monitoring is carried out on a database and usually reported through an alarm. The criticality of the report is then sent to the customer for review. This allows the client the possibility to plan equipment shutdowns.

To avoid unwanted shocks with last-minute missing or faulty spare parts, MEWS offers a pre-inspection of the Seal related stock at the customers’ facilities to ensure smooth maintenance during the plant shutdown. MEWS provides a detailed evaluation of the Seal Performance combined with Active Optimizing Seal Repair. Spare parts are ordered to avoid poor performance for optimal working and improvements.
